Sage's First Birthday Party
YOU GUYS. THE BOY WHO MADE ME MAMA IS ONE. ONE!
I always told myself I wouldn't go crazy over my babies's birthday parties, especially if they couldn't remember them. *cough cough* especially their FIRST birthday.
And then I became mama.
I didn't get to celebrate Sage in-utero or see him bouncing around the ultra screen monitor or hear his heart beat or have a big baby shower while he rounded me wide. So maybe that's where all of this excitement and themed-ness sprung from. I DONT KNOW. MAYBE NOT. MAYBE THIS IS WHO I'VE BECOME.
The theme was Woodland ONEderland, of course.
We had so many cherished, beloved friends and family join us to celebrate this little man turning one and we were so blown away by the love. It is so remarkable and such a privilege to be his mama. What a village, a true village, we have supporting us as we go. My heart is full.
We asked on his invite for people to bring a letter for us to save and give him on his 18th birthday and I was pretty impressed with the amount of letters! So much sweetness stored away.
Thank you, dears! Here are some fun [and possibly an annoying amount] snaps from the party [the photographer in me wants to let you know that the lighting was terrible and lots of people were using my camera..]:

PS...check out how much fun Ira was having, too.
