FOLLOWER TESTIMONIALS

I’ve been following Natalie’s Instagram for over a year now and have learned so much! I didn’t realize how entrenched I had been in so many beliefs and thought patterns and she has really helped me dig deeper and question a lot of the “societal norms”. She’s real, she’s relatable, she’s funny and has a true heart for helping others. She is one of my favourite accounts to follow!

Natalie has taken a social media space and allowed for true and honest conversations. Hard, deep, and vulnerable conversations. These have allowed me to be able to think deeply about my own growing up, my own bias is and Christianity and how I can change the harsh narratives. I so so appreciated this space Natalie has created and am thankful to be able to learn from her.

I have followed Natalie‘s account for quite some time and I have never experienced social media to be a more authentic and genuine space. She doesn’t try to sugarcoat things but there’s always hope no matter how dark her experience is. She has created conversations that people have been too terrified to have and never pretends to have it all together. She is so welcoming, regardless of your opinions, and is willing to learn from any one! So thankful ❤️

I stumbled upon Natalie’s content almost a year ago. She posted a video that spoke on proper language to use within the world of adoption. As someone who was adopted not once, but twice, this caught my attention. At 29 years old, this was the first time I’d heard someone go out of their way to use inclusive language that told my story without singling me out or labeling me in a negative light.
Since then, I have found so much hope and true joy in Natalie’s content. Whether it’s a post on purity culture that I relate to, a video about fighting for your family, or just a fun feel about living yourself completely just as you are, Natalie’s social spaces allow me to feel like there’s someone out there that knows the struggle and is a few steps ahead of me on the healing journey.

I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I love your IG. I have followed you for years. You come across as very authentic & so much of what you share are things that I’ve experienced, too. Just wanted to offer up my support! Thanks for being you.

Natalie I really appreciate and admire your vulnerability, the reflection questions and opportunity to answer questions and see your responses to others always challenges me and affirms me. The unpacking you are doing of church, purity culture and more is life giving. I also love the dancing and beautiful time you spend with your boys.

Hi Natalie, your content has been so incredibly empowering!! The authenticity, care and truth you share is powerful. The subjects you cover are rarely covered and the way you share is holistic and about breaking down lies. Thank you for your time, energy and internal work you have done in your own life that clearly makes it possible to share with us!

Just a little note saying thank you for tonight’s zoom. You are amazing. I hope to be as such with my son’s story and his ability to tell his story. Thanks also for being a light on other issues. Please continue to post!

Natalie’s Instagram is literally the most raw, vulnerable, validating place I’ve probably ever found on social media. I feel seen and I feel so much less alone in the world because she shares things we all go through but never ever talk about. Also can we just talk about how her hair is always wild and she shows her messy house with toys everywhere and that’s just so freakin REAL and I love it!

I enjoy following Natalie! She has created a safe, inclusive space that is also educational. I enjoy hearing her perspectives on many topics, including adoption and parenting, as well as purity culture. She is authentic and I value her insight and opinions.

I have been following Natalie for several years on social media. When I came upon a post from her in 2018 I was instantly intrigued by her story and her viewpoints on many different topics, and decided to go back and read all of her posts from the beginning. I like following Natalie because she just seems like a genuine, real person and like someone who is not afraid to share the ways in which she’s made mistakes and grown and changed. I have learned a lot from her.

I’ve followed Natalie for many years, at first because she was a fellow adoptive mom. Over the years, her journey has reflected mine in so many ways and her deep commitment to honesty has helped me shed light on my own feelings I often didn’t even know I was feeling. In a space where curated lives and lily-white bed sheets are the norm, I can always trust that Natalie’s posts and stories will be real and true and relatable and funny and just all the things that help so many of us feel like we’re not alone. Not to mention that she has been a very real and direct source of support to me personally, even though we live across the country and have never even met. I’m so grateful for her voice and presence in this space.

I love following Natalie and learning with her as she unpacks traumas and lived experiences of growing up in the evangelical church. The way that she passionately and intentionally strives to do better for herself and her children encourages and inspires me and I strive to do the same with my family.
