Twinning
We could have missed this.
When the home study licensing agency warned us against virtually twinning, encouraged us to pause our adoption.
When our grandparents asked us to seriously consider pausing or stopping our adoption because I was pregnant.
When a multitude of people questioned us adopting “even though I was pregnant.”
When the dentist hygienist tried to scare me with stories about “people she knew” whose kids were adopted and “basically tried to kill them.”
When society at large continues to place adoption as inferior to biologically growing a family.
We could have missed one of the best part of this family, and that is their bond. Their brotherhood. Sage and Ira, together.
I have been sitting on these images @frescavphotography photographed for us…overwhelmed with love and gratitude and joy and disbelief.
THEY call ME mama??? THEY want to snuggle ME? Run to ME for kisses and hugs and comfort and adventures?
I mean damn. I’m the luckiest.
Okay also…what photo is your fav of them together cuz 😅🤩 I CANNOT DECIDE!
The hugging one makes my whole body limp with joy.
