(Read Day 4 HERE)Day Five: Emphasize His Good Points
25 Days of Building Respect-Habits:
We all know our spouse has faults, flaws, weaknesses, things that drive us nuts...but do we remember that we have those too? I don't know about you, but my husband is so good at
almost never reminding me my flaws and annoyances. He is great at reminding me of what he loves about me. The result of these reminders is a heart swelling with love. My heart soars and I feel like I can conquer the world. It also leads me to serve him with a pure heart, out of a response of being built up.
How about we focus on doing that for our spouse? Instead of reminding him what he is doing wrong and why he drives us nuts, let's choose to focus on his qualities that we admire. Let us revere and honor him. Can we choose to build our spouse up, admiring his strengths, and letting his confidence soar to the heights? That he may leave for work in the morning, ready to conquer this world, and ready to return home only to be built up again.
Build your man up. I beg you.
"Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise."
What about your husband do you love, cherish, and admire? Tell him today.
